James joined us as an intern following the completion of his degree in Computer Science in 2019.
With an interest in computer networks, cyber security, programming, robotics and computer hardware, he now works for us full-time and is primarily responsible for our IT-infrastructure.
As with the rest of our engineering team, James understands all the mission critical areas of the data centre environment. However, his core respbonsibilities includes maintenance of our IT equipment and physical network. To help him undertake this role, James has completed the BTEC Level 3 Certified Network Cable Installer qualification.
Having previously worked in the University of Lincoln’s IT Department, James is no stranger to the role that data centres play in everyday life. However, before joining us, he recognised how coolDC is endeavouring to be different, particularly with regard to the cooling technologies we deploy and how our efforts toward reducing our energy and carbon footprints will help achieve a more sustainable future for the data centre industry.
