Kieran joined us as an intern in 2018 following the completion of his BSc in Computer Science at the University of Lincoln.
Although initially in the position of network engineer, he has progressed to the more encompassing role of Technical Support Engineer.
Kieran has enjoyed a pretty unique experience having started his career with coolDC prior to us commencing our first build project, Lincoln Discovery Centre. This enabled him to participate in the complete project lifecycle: from design, to build and now operate. Through this, he learnt about the mechanical and electrical aspects of the data centre, in addition to networks and the IT-infrastructure, including ‘bleeding edge’ technologies. By the time he took the BTEC Level 4 Certified Data Centre Technician Professional qualification, Kieran’s knowledge already surpassed that of engineers who have been in the industry for several years.
Kieran has been an enthusiastic advocate of our pursuit of a more sustainable and carbon neutral agenda and played a key role in collating the evidence required for our recent energy efficiency audit, conducted by CEEDA – the global Certified Energy Efficient Data Centre Award.
